PHILIPPINE CONSULATE JOINS PHILIPPINE DEPARTMENT OF TOURISM-SAN FRANCISCO AND PHILIPPINE AIRLINES VANCOUVER OFFICE IN THE 2018 VANCOUVER OUTDOOR ADVENTURE AND TRAVEL SHOW

The Philippine Consulate General in Vancouver, together with thePhilippine Department of Tourism San Francisco and Philippine Airlines Vancouver Office, participated in this year’s Outdoor Adventure and Travel Show held at the Vancouver Convention Center on 3 to 4 March 2018.
The two-day event, considered the largest and best attended consumer show in British Columbia, was participated in by over 250 exhibitors from the outdoor sports industry which included scuba diving and adventure/travel companies, golf resorts, clubs, and associations in the biking, outdoor gear and apparel, camping, water sports, hiking, climbing, education and nutrition sectors. Presentations and information sessions were also conducted by seasoned adventure travelers, industry experts and celebrity guests. Also held simultaneously was the Vancouver Bike Show which attracted guests with its “made in BC” handcrafted bikes and accessories.
The Philippine booth distributed tourism materials including pamphlets and brochures on the Philippines’ best destination sites --Palawan, Boracay, Cebu andBohol. Assorted freebies such as Its More Fun the Philippines’ tote bags, colorful highlighters, stickers and lens cleaners where given out to guests. The PH booth also held raffle draws and gave away VISA gift certificates to participating guests.
