VANCOUVER 15 October 2024. The Philippine Consulate General in Vancouver hosted the launch of the first solo art exhibit of Ms. Marianne Valdez entitled “Masaganang Buhay” held on 11 October 2024 at the Consulate premises.

The program opened with the welcome remarks from Consul Analyn Ratonel, Acting Head of Post, followed by a response from Marianne and musical performances from two up and coming musicians: Ms. Ian Zeta and Ms. Julie Rae.

Her artworks featured plant species endemic to the Philippines in a flourishing garden evoking the feelings of warmth and space of “having more than enough” and the true feeling of abundance through sharing one’s harvest with neighbors, friends and family.

The event attracted around 80 art enthusiasts, members of the Filipino-Canadian community, and friends of the Consulate. The exhibit is open to the public and will run through 06 January 2025.  END
